What are binary options?

Binary options, sometimes known as ‘fixed return’ or ‘digital’ options are options where the eventual return on investment is predetermined at the outset. In the event the option expires “in the money”, iOption™ offers you a return of up to 70% on your investment, for example, on a 100 euro investment you would get a return of 70 euro, resulting in your total balance being 170 euro.
What can be considered an 'Asset'?

Assets include stocks, indices, commodities, paired currency (eg. EUR/USD) or any other financial asset capable of forming the foundations on which to create options.
The difference between All/Nothing options & iOption options

There is a difference between All or Nothing Options and iOption™ offerings. iOption™ give you a pre-agreed return percentage if your option expires ‘in the money’ and an a guaranteed refund of up to 15% in the event your option expires ‘out of the money’, whereas All or Nothing options are offered by some commercial banks and all of your investment can be lost.
Is the investment amount limited in anyway?

The highest amount you are permitted to invest in any single option is USD 5,000 or its equivalent in other currencies offered. However if you invest in more than one option, consecutively, you can do so with no maximum limit on any accumulated amount invested.
What does the quoted price represent?

The prices quoted represent the price at which iOption™ is willing to sell an asset based and determined by iOption™’s proprietary algorithms and does not represent real time market quotes. For more details about how expiry levels are determined please refer to our expiry rate rules.
How do our options differ from stock market options?

The options offered in iOption™ are binary options that guarantee a fixed return in the event of expiry in out or at the money in different expiry times. On the other hand, options traded in the stock market normally have longer expiry dates, a widely fluctuating return and can be sold in the market prior to expiry.
Do I have to download software in order to trade with iOption?

Open

There is absolutely no need for you to download anything before you can start trading with iOption. All you need to do is register and deposit funds into your account and you’ll be ready to start trading binary options for yourself.
